He is the seventh child of the Jackson family and started his music career as part of the Jackson 5 in the mid 1960’s. He then went solo in 1971 and then started gaining popularity for his records and videos such as “Beat It” “Thriller” “Billie Jean,” to mention a few. The “Thriller” remains the best selling album of all time. Michael jackson was a recipient of various awards including 13 Grammy Awards, 26 American Music Awards, 13 No. 1 singles in the U.S., etc. He was also hailed as “Artist of the Century” and as “King of Pop.” There are around 750 million Michael Jackson records sold worldwide.
